Howto: Free subsciptions to technology magazines with Asiaing and Zinio
I have known of this useful combination for awhile; and I enjoy the liberty of reading my favorite technology magazines for the cost of nothing. In this weblog post I’ll demonstrate to you how to obtain your technology magazines free with Asiaing and Zinio combined.
So; I must first explain what those two sites are. Zinio provides online magazines of all sorts; although remember, it doesn’t carry everything (everything means to me: Maximum PC and PC gamer, although you can grab Maximum PC PDFs here
). It has a reader which functions well under Windows and OSX; but not really Linux (which was annoying me for so long). Through Zinio directly, you have to purchase your magazines.
They had a site overhaul recently; mainly just the website’s theme was modified into a smoother looking kind of glassy style which is cleaner on the eyes than the preceding one. The most dramatic change they have is that you can now read your magazines online in a flash based pop-up window which enables Linux users with flash to get magazines.
It has most of the main features in the reader application. I’ll guess I’ll explain about Asiaing now: Asiaing provides free links to eBooks (all secure albeit) that are mostly .PDF format. While looking around the site; why not grab a few. I’ll be covering the Free Zinio subscriptions it provides though.
Now; let’s get started with this tutorial. I should first urge you to get an account at Zinio; as it’s necessary to download the reader application and/ or receive the magazines. Just head on over to the site and register yourself; when done you can now read the next paragraph.
Look to the right of the Asiaing web page and you can search for mainstream tech-magazines (look on Zinio for a few examples); once found in the search you should see a “Magazine_name_here Free Subscription” which you can click on to go to the description page about it. Just look at the bottom of the description and in blue letters you should see either “Magazine Free Subscription” or “Zinio Free Subscription”.
Once clicked you redirect to the Zinio website and are then prompted to sign in with your Zinio account. Once done it should be in your library ready to read or download; have fun! Among other’s I’ll give to you the most popular technology magazines to save you the hassle:
Games for Windows; Computer Shopper; Electronic Gaming Monthly; Macworld; PC Magazine and PC World.
You should also be able to find other magazines by just searching. I hope you enjoy these and I might add; bookmark the magazines you freeload, it doesn’t seem to give me a new magazine each month, so I manually visit the links and follow the preceding process. Enjoy your magazines and pass this on!
Enjoy!

You can also get more than 100 literary classics for free by going to http://www.zinio.com/classics. I found this on their Facebook site “I read, therefore I Zinio” There’s some good dialogue about eco-friendliness and the digital lifestyle.
You have inspired me to start my own blog here at WordPress… I put a few insect photos that you should like… http://tomthephotographer.wordpress.com/
